The drive will crash on boot up, the following all are know to have bad flimware
Some say the firmware update will fix the problem but I myself will not trust that I just lost 365 GIG's of information. They will not help you recover it either they want to charge you $500 to$2500 to recover it for you.
Personal i think it a con job and should be report to the FTC. they own a recover business too! what better why to get business and make tons of cash than to sell the public drives that are know to fail soon.
These drives are reporting as 40% failure rate and may end up higher.
If you have one I warned you.
Here the bad part they are sold in USB storage devises and you can't see that they are in there.
I have had 3 Seagate drive go down in less than 2 months,one was brand new right out of the box form Wally World.
Needless to say Seagate will get on more of my money.
